The HK+ business group of the Russian Research Institute (Director Pyo Sang-yong) held a humanities lecture program for citizens under the theme of War and Peace at the Seosomun Holy Land History Museum on the occasion of the week-long Humanities Week from October 24, 2022. A total of eight lectures by top Russian experts in various fields, including history, literature, music, art and theater, were held until Nov. 19 at the event, which was designed to pray for the end of the Russia-Ukraine war. Two professors from the Russian Institute, Hwang Sung-woo and Ra Seung-do, also participated in the lecture. About 30 students attended each time, and Gallery Carchina and the Russian Institute promised to continue to promote joint events in the future. During the humanities lecture event, the Holy Land Museum also exhibited Russian paintings from October 25 to November 19.
