2024 IRS Summer Workshop Held

The Russian Research Institute (Director Pyo Sang-yong) held a summer workshop in Sokcho, Gangwon-do on July 8 (Mon) and 9 (Tue), 2024. Over the two days, Director Pyo Sang-yong and other researchers reviewed the achievements of the HK+ Type 2, Phase 2, 2nd year research project and established a 3rd year plan. The main agenda items included 'Briefing on the work and research results for the past year', 'Coordination of opinions among team members regarding division of work', and 'Plans for follow-up HK+ projects'.

In particular, opinions were shared on a new division of work that enables efficient research projects, and additional discussions were held on the publication plan of the research series in the second half of 2024 and the holding of academic conferences scheduled for the second half of 2024 and the first half of 2025.

Director Pyo Sang-yong, who hosted the workshop, said, "In order to enhance the academic status of the institute and its team members and the overall competitiveness of domestic humanities and Russian studies, we have encouraged active external activities by the team members of the Russian Institute. Over the past year, the team members have shown results through various academic research activities." He emphasized, "Please continue to pay attention so that we can elevate the status of the Russian Institute and its research team and continue the current research results."
