2022 Summer Workshop on IRS
Our research institute (Director: Professor Pyo Sang-yong) held a summer workshop in Jecheon, Chungcheongbuk-do from August 21 to 22, 2022. The workshop, which had been postponed while watching the trend of the COVID-19 incident, was held for the first time in three years. For two days, researchers under director Pyo Sang-yong reviewed the results of the HK+ Type 2 Phase 1 research project and established a second stage plan to be unfolded over the next four years.
At the first meeting, there was work coordination between team members. Each person briefed on the work they had been in charge of for the past 10 years and collected and organized each other's plans to improve work efficiency. Since then, a new division of work has been made on 'ordering and managing external projects.'
At the second meeting, there was a discussion on how to independently support the institute. As a project to continue after the completion of the HK+ Type 2 research project, measures to raise funds for the 'English Journal REGION' and the 'Russia and CIS Focus Column' were discussed. In addition, the necessity of field investigation in Eurasia was confirmed and financial resources were discussed to carry out this.
All matters discussed at this workshop will be inspected and promoted again in six months.
