Academic seminar for the next generation, 2nd semester, 2023

The HK+ Project Group of the Russian Institute held an academic seminar in Naju City on October 7, 2023 in collaboration with the Russian-CIS Department of the Graduate School of International and Regional Studies as part of its activities to foster the next academic generation. On the first day of the event, an academic seminar was held in the seminar room of the Naju Dupolis Hotel, where a mid-term presentation of papers by graduate students from the Russian-CIS Department was held, and the participating professors had serious discussions on the papers of the presenting students.

 

In Part 1, doctoral student Hong Seong-woo’s “Study on changes in Russia’s political party system: Focusing on the State Duma elections from 1993 to 2021” and doctoral student Kim Hyun-jin’s “Empirical Examination of Dual Russia - Regional Income Inequality and Political Participation in Russia” There were presentations by doctoral student Jiyoung Min, “A study on the Russian financial sector and corporate activities,” and doctoral student Jeongmin Lee, “A study on the constraints that influenced the change process of the Russian pension system after the transition.” In the second part, there were presentations by master's students, followed by interim thesis presentations by Sang-kyung Kim, Chang-hyuk Lee, Min-ji Do, Jeong-hoon Yoon, Sun-ah Kim, and Kaikula Gulzanar.
