Selected as an institution carrying out the New Northern Policy Forum project among the bilateral industrial cooperation projects of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Russian Institute.
The Russian Research Institute of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Director: Pyo Sang-yong) was selected as an institution to carry out bilateral industrial cooperation projects following 2021 among the bilateral industrial cooperation projects (No. 2022-58, 110) announced by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
For 10 months from March to December 2022, the New Northern Policy Forum will establish a network between related experts and collect and share latest information on changes and pending issues such as economic, trade, industry and energy in major economies.
During 2021, the Russian Institute held four New Northern Policy forums and held a domestic academic conference on the theme of 'New Northern Policy in Eurasia and Korea, Present and Future.' In addition, the 'New Northern Issue Briefing' on the economy and industry of Sinbuk Prevention Station was produced and published 10 times. It plans to plan and promote forums and domestic academic conferences this year in 2022.
Through this project, the Russian Institute will contribute to the creation of continuous and visible results of the New Northern Policy by forming a regular communication channel and discovering the demand and priorities for cooperation with the New Northern Economic Area.
