2023 Academic Seminar for Next-Generation Fostering

The Russia Institute HK+ Project Group held an academic seminar in Yeosu City on April 8-9, 2023 in collaboration with the Department of Russia-CIS at the Graduate School of International and Area Studies as part of its activities to nurture the next generation of academics.


At the academic seminar held on the first day of the event at the Yeosu Civic Center, thesis presentations by graduate students from the Department of Russia and CIS were held, and the participating professors had serious discussions on the thesis presented by the presenting students. Student Min-Eui Kim’s “Russian Automobile Market Analysis and Implications: Focusing on the Regional Innovation System (RIS) in the Northwest Federal District” Student Ha-ram Kang’s “Food Security Crisis based on Asymmetric Interdependence Theory-Focused on the Case of Tajikistan” Student Jung-Hoon Yoon “A Study on the Feasibility of TAPI Gas Pipelines: Focusing on Economics and Stability” Student Byung-hun Kim presented “Changes in Energy Markets in Russia and Europe Due to the Ukraine War Focusing on Reorganization of the Russian Energy Supply Chain”. The following day, a special lecture was given by Professor Kim Seon-rae of the HK+ Project Group at the Russian Research Center in the seminar room of Oh Dong-jae in Yeosu City under the theme of “Changes in the World Order in the Era of Complex Transformation”.
